A case can be made for Jerry Rice as the greatest receiver of all time as he has become a NFL legend, and is known as a vital component of the great San Francisco teams in the 1990s. Despite his lack of size and speed Rice impressed.  His career is an example of astute and relentless preparation, practice, and football savvy. He rarely missed a game, and played with passion. His mindset was reflected onto the field and Rice’s stats parallel his work ethic. He leads NFL receiving stats with 208 career touchdowns, 22,895 receiving yards and 1,549 catches. Known as a warrior on the practice field, Rice held nothing back and refused to just go through the motions as many of today’s players do.  His off -season consisted of running hills throughout the streets of San Francisco and maintaining a strict workout regime. Rice’s hard work paid off with 14 season’s over 1,000 yards, 13 pro bowls, 3 Super Bowls and a Super Bowl MVP XXII. Today he is commemorated on the NFL’s All-Decade teams of the 1980s and 1990s, and the NFL’s 75th anniversary team.

In order to reflect upon the great career or Rice, I have a game worn Jerry Rice jersey worn in the 1993 NFC championship game against the Dallas Cowboys played on January 17th. The 49er’s lost the game 38-21, however Rice had 6 catches for 83 yards. This piece of memorabilia is an example of a jersey that has been kept in pristine condition over the years and features the proper documentation that is needed to verify authenticity.  The piece has normal wear and tear tendencies that game worn Jersey’s should feature and has been kept out of the light in order to avoid any type of issues that come with light exposure. Please look at the pictures below and enjoy this rare and well -kept piece of NFL history.
